Summer in Nantes is not only the holiday season, cultural events keep going on.

With the "Voyage à Nantes" (Journey to Nantes) some strange shapes may emerge in front of you in the streets, almost everywhere in the city, and even in some towns in the area. Some artistic installations of all sizes, sometimes of unidentified origin,  are waiting for your impressions in the middle of the city's heritage. At the botanical garden some weird creatures have just landed (at least until the end of September). Following the green line on the ground in the city, you will undoubtedly be surprised. Among these are a vegetal sculpture in the castle moat, artistic installations in the Bouffay area and in the Opera, sport installations on the island of Nantes, or even a nymphea at night along a canal.

Summer is also a very good opportunity to attend many open air and free concerts. You can discover music from various horizons:
- in the castle moat, every Tuesday evening
- on the square Marquis de Saffre, every Thursday night

A Breton night in late July and a ball for August, 15th are even organized in the courtyard of the castle.

Open air cinemas take place in the parks every Wednesday evening. Some actors are also reading at the botanical garden during lunch on Fridays. 

Every Wednesday afternoon, you can hear some organ music in the cathedral.
