Craft occupies an important place in the Breton culture. A few fairs and exhibitions are a chance to discover the works of various domains while meeting their creator: sculptors, ceramists, painters, fashion designers, glass blowers, jewelers, potters, cabinetmakers, bookbinders... Some meetings include gastronomy (local specialities, drinks), others focus on preservation and demonstration of traditional craftsmanship (ironwork, leatherwork, saddlery...).

Here are some meetings specialized in crafts in the year ahead :

- Art and craft fair in the castle of Chateaugiron (near Rennes, "Salon des métiers d'Art"), from 2026 March, 27th till 29th.

- Contemporary art fair in Saint Malo (St Servan), on April 4th and 5th 2026.

- European days of fine craft trades. From 2026 April, 7th till 12th, meet craftsmen in their workshop!

- Dol de Bretagne, artists' workshops, market for creators (under the halls, association "Beaux-Arts etc!"), from April till September.

- Art and craft fair in St Malo (Rothéneuf), on 2026 August, 2nd.

- Craftsmen festival and model fair in Lizio (near Josselin), on 2026 August, 9th.

- Woodworking annual exhibition by Ebénistes créateurs de Bretagne. It usually takes place in October in Vannes or Arradon.

- Les arts du feu in Rennes (square of the city hall), from 2026 December 10th till 13th.

These events take place in the middle of a rich environment in terms of heritage and nature, which we will be pleased to show you during this opportunity: we suggest tours combining discovery of the exhibition and the local heritage (in particular in Chateaugiron, Dol de Bretagne, Quimper...). A few Christmas markets spotlight local craftsmen and artists, in a festive mood. Here are some examples:

- Saint Suliac, over one weekend

- Châteaugiron (in the castle), over one weekend

- Rennes, Christmas market of Creators, on place Hoche, from late November till December, 24th (plus another Christmas market on mail François Mitterrand).

- Saint Malo, L'atelier de Noël (hall 1), over one weekend

Among many other Christmas markets, these ones receive craftsmen in a few chalets:

- Dinan, from early December till 24th (and over a day in front of the abbey of Lehon).

- Nantes, some craftsmen from the west part of France exhibit their work on the Christmas market, on place Royale and place du Commerce, from late November till December, 24th.

- Saint Malo, on weekends in December and school holidays.

Old craft festivals are also organized in a few towns in Brittany, for example in Thourie or Trégrom in August. It is the opportunity to see the activity and machines of former craftsmen (and threshing too).
